Beyond the HEA: Valentine’s Day in the Galliaroverse

Ever wonder what happens after the happily ever after? In the Beyond the HEA series, I give you updates on what your favorite Galliaro characters are up to.

Read below to find out what your favorite lovers got into on Valentine’s Day this year!

Timeline-wise, I put all of these as the first Valentine’s Day after the end of their respective books, sometimes between the last chapter and epilogue.

Enjoy the read!

XO,

Unintentional Puck Bunny

Guy and Kitty snuck away for a weekend in New York, hitting their favorite old haunts and defiling several of them. The bathroom at Kitty’s favorite pizza place will never be the same.

Mikey and Jessie had tacos because even though Valentine’s Day isn’t on a Taco Wednesday this year, their first one was. They ventured to Manhattan Beach to their old favorite taco joint, then went home to live out Jessie’s living room floor fantasies. Jessie only slapped Mikey a little for putting out a “Caution: Wet Floor” sign after they were done.

Nick and Annie went longboarding at the beach, and Annie didn’t fall once. They returned to their favorite Venice Beach restaurant. They were that weird couple that sits kitty corner to each other so they never have to stop touching. Now, they celebrate being able to touch in public often.

Ohio Rusties

Dylan and Jeanine spent the day watching their kids play hockey, though Jeanine briefly tagged out for a play rehearsal. That night, they hired their favorite sitter so they could go to dinner and a movie. They mostly behaved. Mostly. Well, at least they were quiet about it.

Jack acted like he didn’t care through midnight on February 13, then decorated the house after everyone was asleep. He claimed he didn’t do it.

The Leroy-O’Connell family spent the majority of the day where most hockey families spend a Saturday: at the rink.
After returning home and putting all the kids to bed, Mara executed her plan to make Jack’s behind the same color as the holiday while he wore Cupid wings (because good boys are angels).

Colton and Violet spent most of Valentine’s Day on the couch staring into each other’s eyes and trying to make quadruplets. Colton had a ring in his pocket the whole day, but chickened out every time he thought about asking Violet to marry him.

Painter Creek

Darcy and Jake treated themselves to a weekend away in Columbus, because Darcy’s former hockey team was playing the Rusties on Sunday. Dandelions were out of season, so Jake got Darcy a bouquet of baby’s breath. The only rose in sight was the toy Jake added to Darcy’s collection.

And finally, for our next Painter Creek star, without Darcy in town to keep her sane, Becca slashed Stone’s tires while he was at work at the Legion. Oops!
